A Hotter War
First is the heat wave, searing and bright,
Burns everything with its terrible light,
Second’s the blast wave, forceful and loud,
What the heat wave has kindled, the blast wave puts out.
Third is the fallout, the poisonous tears,
Fourth’s radiation that lingers for years,
And where once a city stood populous and bustling,
Now remains nothing.
Round the decay, the lone and level sands stretch far away.
